1 banana
1/2 tomato
1 Zuchinni squash
1 brocolli head (small)
~20 grapes
1/3 cup raisins
2-3 Carrots (plus leaves)
1 garlic clove
1 orange
1 apple
1 yellow squash
1/2 head red leaf lettuce
1tsp Olive oil
3 eggs (including shells)
1/3 cup plain yogurt
2 TBS honey
Blend in food processor/blender until FINE (almost
like mush)
Bake (if desired) at 250 until firm (usually about 2-3
hours). I usually feed my dogs this type of mix raw
and add ground beef to it (but I use the BARF diet
also).
Seems like a lot of odds and ins and that is exactly
what I do. What does the grocery have today and what
is in my fridge that I need to get rid of :). The
dogs eat this up. You can add a little kelp powder in
with it or after cooking sprinkle some cod liver oil
or flax seed oil on top, even add a drop of Vit E.
PLEASE... experiment with your own recipes and see
what you come up with and see what ingredients your
own dogs like. I would love to know odd things that
people use.
I also have added kiwi, cataloupe, sugar beets, etc.
There is a ton of veggies out there and you can
usually get them slightly discounted if you ask the
produce department for the veggies they are to toss
(usually are just a little bruised, avoid the moldy
ones though)
