Meet Paris! She is about 6 weeks old and was found in the backyard of Boston Terrier rescue in McKinney.
Dianne brought her to me today ( Wed April, 27, 05) where Paris will grow up and eventually be released when
she is old enough.
Maybe she and Willie will hook up, lol. Paris is still a little stressed and scared.
When I'm not holding her she makes this pearcing whistle noise I didn't even know squirrels could make.
She likes to be held close for now. She takes a bottle really well and goes potty by herself so
we are off to a good start so far. She is under a heat lamp so she doesn't get chilled.
Baby squirrels don't tolerate getting chilled well at all. I have to make sure she is warmed up inside before I feed her
or she could die. While baby squirrels may feel warm to touch their organs cannot digest cold food and will shut down
rather quickly. Right now she is getting a bottle several times a day and really likes it, lol.
Once she starts nibbling solid things her diet will change several more times before she is rady to be released into the
wild again. I hope she will stick around like Willie has. I still see him but cannot touch him as he is a wild animal
as he should be.

Paris has started nibbling on solid foods today

I'm trying to sit up, hold my tail up and hold dis little nut in my hands. Its too many fings to do at once

I'm trying to eat dis nut. I just figured out how to swallow dis stuff instead of just nibbling on it.
Yummm, its good stuff! I might not need dast bottle for too much longer, I'm getting bigger now.
